According to the latest data from the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, in 2022 Russians purchased more than 15,000 properties in the country.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, in 2022 Russians purchased more than 15,000 properties in the country. Most popular cities were Batumi and Tbilisi. Compared to 2021, the number of Russians among property buyers in the country in 2022 more than tripled (4,332 properties were purchased by Russian citizens in 2021).
Additionally, the demand for land plots in the country has also increased. It should be noted that the acquisition of agricultural land by foreigners is strictly prohibited. It is only allowed to acquire land plots that can only be used for residential development.
