The Italian authorities were the first in Europe to introduce a rule obliging all employees of government agencies, factories, and businesses to be vaccinated. It will come into force on October 15th. Its conditions are:
- All vaccinated workers will be issued a green pass. In its absence, the person will not be allowed to the workplace.
- If, due to the lack of such a pass the employee is not at his workplace, he will be fined in the amount of 400-1000 euros.
- After 4 days the employee can be fired without compensation.
The green passes will be checked by a specially designated governmental worker.
