As of right now, Russian tourists vaccinated with the Sputnik-V vaccine are not able to visit Italy with their certificate. They also need to have a negative COVID test so that they can cross the border. However, recently, during a meeting of the governments of the two countries the possibility of including the vaccine in the Green Pass system was discussed, which contains a list of COVID certificates accepted when entering the EU countries.
When will the changes take effect?
There is no exact date when certificates with information about the vaccination carried out by Sputnik-V will be approved by the European Union and, in particular, Italy. However, Russian Ambassador to Italy Sergei Razov says that Russian tourists will be able to get such an opportunity in the near future.
