Tbilisi, capital of Georgia, saw a very high level of activity by the end of last year. In January alone, 2,500 transactions were conducted in Tbilisi, which was almost a third more than for the same period last year: this can be explained by the situation associated with the global pandemic. Basically, at the beginning of the year, demand for new buildings increased, which accounted for almost 65% of the total volume of transactions. But secondary housing is also popular (sales are higher compared to the results for the same period in 2021).
The average cost of housing in Tbilisi increased by 3.2% compared to last year, so the price increase in Tbilisi is not very high (however, in Chugureti, the central area of the capital, apartments have risen in price by 17%).
