"Golden Passports" program in Montenegro has been extended for a year

The government of Montenegro has decided to extend the state program, according to which it is possible to obtain citizenship of the country in exchange for investment in real estate.
The government of Montenegro has decided to extend the state program, according to which it is possible to obtain citizenship of the country in exchange for investment in real estate. Earlier, a message was published that the “golden visa” will be closed from January 1, 2022, but it turned out to be wrong.
Features of the program for 2022
This year the program operates under new conditions. So, in addition to the previously mentioned categories of the population that can expect to receive a "golden visa", the list includes:
- people living in an unregistered marriage;
- same-sex families.
The conditions remained unchanged that a person wishing to make an investment must be over 18 years old. It is also mandatory to contribute 100 thousand euros to the state fund.
