Rental prices in Spain in July fell by an average of 2.7%. Now the highest prices are observed in the province of Guipuzcoa. Rent here reaches 15.21 euros per sq.m. per month. It is quite expensive to rent accommodation in Barcelona. In this city, the cost of 1 square meter reaches 14.53 euros. In Madrid and Catalonia one will have to pay almost 14 euros per square meter per month. The cheapest accommodation can be found in Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura. The average rental price in these cities is 5-6 euros per sq.m. per month.

How has the price decreased in different regions?

The most noticeable decrease in the cost of rental housing was observed in the following regions:

  • Zamora - 6.4%;
  • Navarre - 4.4%;
  • Palencia - 2.9%;
  • Castile - 0.7%;
  • Leone - 0.7%;
  • Andalusia - 0.5%;
  • Galicia - 0.3%.

It is also worth noting that in some provinces prices have remained at the same level or have increased. The most significant was the jump in rental prices in Cantabria. Here prices have risen by almost 3%.
