Real estate prices are skyrocketing around the globe. Consequently, sales volumes are declining. However, in Turkey the situation is different. Prices here have seriously increased, but the pace of sales is growing. According to the results of June 2022, the number of transactions increased by 11.7% compared to the same period last year. And if we take the period from January to June of this year, then the figure increased by almost a third - by 31%. In the first 5 months of 2022, more than 700,000 residential properties were sold in Turkey.
Experts are positive that the main reason for this excitement lies in the behavior of tenants. They are well aware that the cost of rent will only grow, so they prefer to buy a home rather than rent.
