Atlantic Canada Immigration Program 2021: Who is the new project made for?

The Atlantic Immigration Program is a pilot project that plans to host about 10,000 immigrants and their families in the Atlantic region of eastern Canada. It is in these areas that there is a shortage of labor today. The implementation of the program is planned for 3 years. During this period, employers from these regions will be able to recruit citizens from all over the world. • increasing the number of investments;
• the establishment of trade;
• protection of nature.

In addition, experts predict that within the framework of this program it will be possible to increase the number of innovative projects developed in the above-named region.

How does the program work?

The main purpose of this program is to simplify the process of economic immigration to Atlantic Canada for citizens from all countries of the world. To do this, they must have a job offer from an approved Canadian employer. The big advantage is that in this case the employer does not need to receive a Labor Market Impact Assessment, and it greatly speeds up and simplifies the hiring process.

After the applicant receives an invitation, the employing company helps him find housing and settle in the region.

In some cases, the employer is allowed to invite a citizen of another country to work on an urgent basis. In such a situation, a temporary work permit is issued, which is subsequently reissued into a full-fledged offer. Upon obtaining such permission one can apply for a residence permit for 90 days.

Citizens of other countries wishing to take part in the program should take into account that it applies only to those applicants who have education and experience in the field in which they plan to look for work. Documents confirming this will need to be confirmed through a special Canadian service.
